An amazing Collings D1A from 2002 available now at Southern Guitars! This guitar sounds and plays great! Features Mahogany back and sides with Adirondack Spruce top. 1 3/4” Nut width. It’s definitely one of the better sounding Dreadnought guitars we’ve had! It’s been played but taken care of. There is some wear on the back of the neck as shown in the pictures. The finish has rubbed off in a couple spots. You can’t feel anything different as you play but it is discolored where the wear is. Also on the back of the guitar as well as the top/side there are some spots in the finish that looks as if it’s either sunken into the wood, or possible some air got under the finish and made some spots. It’s not bubbled up so I wouldn’t call it bubbles and you can’t feel anything to the touch but you can see it where it’s most prominent in the picture of the top/side of the guitar. Other than this it doesn’t have some light play wear you’d expect from a guitar that has been played regularly. It hasn’t been abused just played…. It’s probably been played so much because it’s definitely our personal favorite Collings Dreadnought that’s come through the shop! Includes original hardshell case.
