The Hosstortion is a modern reimagining of the short-lived and highly sought-after Ibanez MT-10 Mostortion. The MT-10 was only made for a few years in the early 90‘s, and the original CMOS op-amp used by Ibanez was discontinued in 2005. Since then, advances in chip technology have led to the creation of BiMOS chips, which combine two formerly separate semiconductor technologies into a single integrated circuit device. The Hoss takes full advantage of this new chip to create an overdrive pedal with tons of output, warm mids, and lots of low-end, while still maintaining the original tone-stack and sonic characteristics of the Mostortion. Other updates to the original include top-mounted jacks, a premium foot switch and anodized lug nut, and UV printed art graphics on Sour Apple green-sparkle powder-coated enclosure.
