Collection: Abernethy Guitars

My name is Justin Abernethy. 

I operate a small one man shop in Guadalupe, California with a primary focus on building high quality, highly detailed custom electric guitars with easy playability, balance and comfort. 

I generally use Alder, Maple, Mahogany, Poplar, Basswood and Rosewood.

I have both set neck and bolt on models in a variety of scale lengths and pickup combinations.

All guitars are first drawn by hand and mocked before final assembly to ensure accurate intonation and playability.

I build one at a time, use the best parts available and put hours of love and soul into each instrument.

All guitars are finished in nitro lacquer and have some degree of natural/ intentional finish distress (yellowing, checking, dings, nicks) unless otherwise noted.

I use original vintage parts and materials when available.
