Southern Guitars is proud to be an Authorized Dealer for Abernethy Guitars! Justin Abernethy builds some of the most unique guitars on the market! These are extremely well built guitars, easily playable classic but unique tone! 

Justin operates a small one man shop in Guadalupe, California with a primary focus on building high quality, highly detailed custom electric guitars with easy playability, balance and comfort. 

Woods used are generally Alder, Maple, Mahogany, Poplar, Basswood and Rosewood.

Abernethy builds both set neck and bolt on models in a variety of scale lengths and pickup combinations.

All guitars are first drawn by hand and mocked before final assembly to ensure accurate intonation and playability.

Guitar are built one at a time, the best available parts are used and hours of love and soul are put into each instrument.

All guitars are finished in nitro lacquer and have some degree of natural/ intentional finish distress (yellowing, checking, dings, nicks) unless otherwise noted
